Paris Men’s Fashion Week AW15

Paris Men’s Fashion Week, in keeping with typical Parisian style, was full to the brim with dapperness, daintiness and certainly delightfulness. Gracing the catwalks of Paris saw leopard print, fur, military inspired ensembles and balls. Yes you heard correctly. Balls.

It’s safe to say Rich Owens ballsy show was one of the major talking points of the past weekend, and these models were baring all through what can only be described as an oversized peep hole cut into capes and dresses. With a blasé reaction from the designer, it’s seems nudity is being challenged from many angles in recent incidents, and for in positive ways too.

We saw the Parisian take on trends that also graced London Men’s Fashion Week weekends previous. The bright pink fur coat shown in the Saint Laurent show is something pretty unforgettable. I mean, who forgets a bright pink coat. Joining team fur included Julius Fall and Lanvin also.

Utility is a strong trend for AW15, with Sandro’s collection (pictured as main image) bringing a utility feel with a modern touch, bringing in suits, polos and shearling in strong black and grey powerful shades. Ann Demeulemeester had trench coats with buckles and belts in bright reds standing in contrast to the khaki garments.

Comme Des Garcons got creative with illustrations on the back of jackets. The childhood inspirations have made it to Paris, where illustration is also holds a significant meaning considering the latest occurrences.
