Premiere: Patawawa ‘Strange’

Here is a Spindle exclusive premiere of Patawawa’s new track ‘Strange’ from their upcoming EP ‘Knowleston Place’. And like the title, it is a little strange and kind of hypnotising, like a kaleidoscope of truth and colour and bits and bobs.

Patawawa have produced this track from a bedroom in the quiet town of Matlock. It’s about the colourful confusion that comes with a relationship translated in a funky electro-pop way. The track acts as an insight into a guy’s mind whilst he attempts to decipher the strange behaviour of his love interest, and if that isn’t that just as relatable as sliced bread (which is also featured in the vid, big up Kingsmill) then I’m unsure what is.

With disco balls flying about through an array of colours and greenery, the video will make you wish it rained glitter in the real world, despite the video not providing any personal advice about figuring out your own jumbled love confusions.

The full EP is due to be released on March 16th, but until then you can catch them live on the following in the following places on the following dates; o2 Academy, Sheffield – January 30th, Zanzibar, Liverpool – February 7th, Hoxton Underbelly, London – February 20th and Fishpond, Matlock – March 28th.
