With the introduction of Boris Bikes, two-wheelers that you can fold like origami and all sorts of new technology to accommodated your bicycle friends, it seems that urban cycling is being embraced, and favoured, over other means of transport. And that is something that deserves to be celebrated.
At the center of that is Spin London… Spin London is a three-day festival celebrating everything to do with cycling. The event will take place from 8th-10th May at The Sorting Office, which will feature the UK’s largest indoor pop-up test track. And if that isn’t appealing enough (did you hear that, UK’s LARGEST) they’ve got an array of events going on.
Across 400 meters and two floors, the pop-up track will allow festival goers to test their best circuit times, receive tips and tricks on riding, followed by appearances from industry alumni. There will be cycle-themed talks and screenings from influential cycling figures and institutions, as well as a ‘Hall Of Frame’ gallery space curated by Beach Gallery dedicated to the art of frame building (we like what they did there).
If your into cycling, biking, pedaling, riding, tricycling(?) then you’ll feel right at home here, with this series of events for cyclists of all abilities. Celebrate the culture and ethos of bicycles in an urban landscape, merging together cycling, art and music over this May weekend. What are you waiting for? Get on your bike and prepare for a weekend of two-wheeled entertainment. Get your tickets here.
