#HappySoundsLike

This past Friday saw a day dedicated to happiness, aptly named the International Day of Happiness. It’s when days such as these come along you think about what makes you happy. Family, friends… A good cocktail on a Friday night, when you’re bus actually waits for you or even finding a fiver on the floor. Everyone’s different. But for a lot of people, they’d rather have music in their lives than a decent boozy drink.

The guys at MixRadio picked up on this music and happiness connection. As a result, they teamed up with the United Nations for a week long celebration of happiness. Supported by the likes of Ed Sheeran, Charli XCX and Cody Simpson.

The official International Day of Happiness playlist has been curated with help from these musicians and is available to listen to as much as your happiness desires on MixRadio. It’s got the ever suitable ‘Happy’ by Pharrell (we’re certain it would’ve been illegal to not include that in this playlist), as well as ‘What A Wonderful World’ by Louis Armstrong, ‘Imagine’ by John Lennon and the sassy and strong ‘Independent Women’ by Destiny’s Child. Anyone else feel happy just hearing that mix?

So get happy with music this week and tell us what #HappySoundsLike to you. Is it socially acceptable if we say ours is Spice Girls ‘Spice Up Your Life’? Well we’ve said it now anyway…
