Introducing: Gengahr

London band Gengahr consists of Felix, Danny, John and Hugh – and they sound like sunshine on a hot summer day. Their music is like a combination of The Shins, Empire of The Sun and MGMT, melodic pop music with pretty harmonies.

Gengahr spent February touring Europe with Alt-J and Wolf Alice, plus doing some headline shows of their own around the UK. As if this wasn’t enough, this week they’re across the pond playing at SXSW festival in Austin, Texas. After a weeks rest, they are doing two more headline shows before embarking on yet another tour, this time supporting Circa Waves around the UK.

If you’re lucky, they might play in a city near you soon, starting at Bleach in Brighton on the 25th of March, followed by The Boston Arms in London – 26th of March, Riverside in New Castle – 8th of April, Garage in Glasgow – 9th of April, Leadmill in Sheffield – 10th of April, O2 Academy in Livepool – 11th of April, Rescue Rooms in Nottingham -13th of April, Library @ Institute in Birmingham – 14th of April, Wedgewood Rooms in Porthsmouth – 16th of April, before playing Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London on the 17th of April.
