Airbnb For Recording Studios

You know how Tinder puts you in contact with singles in your area? Or how Airbnb allows you to see houses and apartments to rent pretty much wherever you want in the world? Well now you can do the same for a recording studio. Although, this decision may not be quite as easy as swiping left or right.

Studio Time is a new website that exists as a marketplace for musicians to book a recording studio in a city near them, or even not necessarily near to them. It is literally marketed as the Airbnb for music studios. And that must give you the green light to merge your city getaway with work, surely? With studios listed in LA, New York, California, Nashville, Miami, London, Berlin, Paris, Copenhagen, Hong Kong and Tokyo (to name only a few. Phew – take a breath) we assume many will take advantage of what this site is offering.

Not only can musicians search for their perfect booth to create music in, but Studio Time allows studio owners to enlist their recording spaces with pictures, tech descriptions and key information in order to sell it to the viewers, like someone would of their home on Airbnb. Then with a click and a wink (wink optional) you’re booked in. We can just hear all of those metaphorical doors opening for musicians everywhere…
