Future Talents Of NEWGEN MEN SS16 Are Here

Now we know what you’re thinking, a few days of sunshine and the country strips down. Flip-flops are on feet, pale skin is being paraded with pride and we think we may have seen someone applying some sunscreen. As the icing on the cake, The British Fashion Council announced the emerging menswear designers who will receive NEWGEN MEN support this coming SS16 at London Collections Men.

Okay it’s basically a year away, but it’s never too soon to get excited about things. And NEWGEN MEN is something that everyone should be excited for. It has found and supported LCM designers since 2009, offering them creative, financial and business support in order for their brands to flourish. It has become an established notion that the designers selected go on to bigger and better things, raising the profiles of emerging designers including Sibling, J.W. Anderson, and Christopher Shannon.

New - Bobby Abley AW15 (2)

SS16 will see newbies Bobby Abley, who’s SS15 collection is rough and ready Disney, Cottweiler, who turned men into snow queens for AW15 (including icy finger tips) and Pieter, a Dutch brand that merges gender concepts. This trio will join the existing NEWGEN recipients Agi & Sam, Nasir Mazhar, Astrid Andersen, Craig Green, Alex Mullins, Diego Vanassibara, Kit Neale and CMMN SWDN.

Anticipating the fearless creativity and new talents in the industry is consistently refreshing. And this year will no doubt be any different.
