A Guide To LDN Pride 2015

Saturday 27 June 2015
Words Ailis Mara

With the thrilling (and long overdue) announcement that marriage has been legalised right across the US, us Brits are gearing up for our own celebration of equality and tolerance in the center of London for this year’s Pride event. Below are some essential facts and inside knowledge which will aide you in getting the most from today.

The Route

This year’s parade route starts at baker street and makes its way down to Trafalgar Sq. Last year more than 750,000 people participated in London Pride, with 30,000 people joining for the parade. With London, and the world, still celebrating yesterday’s historic gay marriage ruling in the US, this year’s event is set to be the biggest to date.
