Architects in Australia have drawn inspiration from an unexpected source for their latest project. In a press release for Melbourne’s planned Premiere Tower it was revealed that Beyoncé’s swirling hips in the video for ‘Ghost’ were the basis for the building’s design.
Elenberg Fraser, the firm behind the skyscraper’s conception, has mentioned that “For those more on the art than science side, we will reveal that the form does pay homage to something more aesthetic – we’re going to trust you’ve seen the music video for Beyoncé’s Ghost”.
We’re sure this is either a ham-fisted PR stunt, or more likely the first step on a road leading to a Jay-Z-inspired car park in Glasgow.
