Scottish post-everything band Mogwai are set to provide the soundtrack to an upcoming BBC Documentary marking 70 years since the atomic-bombing of Hiroshima.

Storyville: Atomic- Living in Dread and Promise will initially be shown on BBC Scotland on August 8 at 9pm, but it will also be available to watch on the BBC IPlayer afterwards.

Speaking on the program, the BBC has said that, “Atomic shows us an impressionistic kaleidoscope of our nuclear times: protest marches, Cold War sabre rattling, Chernobyl and Fukushima, but also the sublime beauty of the atomic world, and how X-rays and MRI scans have improved human lives. The nuclear age has been a nightmare, but dreamlike too.”
