Kitty Joseph Makes a New Venture into Eyewear

Coinciding with the launch of her S/S16 collection, young British designer Kitty Joseph has teamed up with New York-based company Studio Wé on a brand new eyewear range. Handmade in Italy, each pair of round-lensed glasses has been designed to reflect the essence of the London label’s colour focus, crafted with vivid two-tone sunset gradients to brighten up the way the wearer sees the world.

Kitty’s S/S16 collection is inspired by a print play on shifting colour bands taken from the designer’s sketchbook landscapes, complemented by aesthetic influences from the colour studies of Bauhaus icon Josef Albers – ideas that all translate seamlessly into the new eyewear styles. These transparent tinted pieces work perfectly with the range’s see-through PVC clutch bags and patterned belts, or can be worn as a standalone accessory statement in your summer wardrobe. The launch marks the latest in the Kitty Joseph brand’s ongoing exploration of colour, demonstrating how different shades can be applied to the body in imaginative and innovative ways through textiles and print.
