We’re big fans of Swedish-born fashion brand Brixtol (so much so that we interviewed founder friends Gustav Kjellander and Emil Holmström earlier this year), so naturally we were psyched to see the drop of their new A/W15 collection. Continuing the label’s signature combination of functional British workwear with 60’s mod culture, these modern styles are fresh and wearable with an unconventional twist.
The range includes a number of high-quality outerwear pieces able to take on even the chilliest of cold snaps this winter, executed with a hint of Scandinavian cool to update classic looks with a new feel.
‘We wanted to move away from the obvious heritage look,’ say the Brixtol team. ‘For A/15, we kept to our core styles and the foundation of our brand – the waxed garments that we make in Birmingham. Our manufacturer is a very talented manufacturer of duffels, and we make a modern version of a classic duffel with a slimmer and longer fit. Instead of wood toggles and rope loops we have taken a more technical approach, with nylon tape and heavy-duty buckles in hard plastic.’
With styles for both men and women, highlights include melange Shetland wool coats and a killer Wolf winter parka in a dry wax fabric, while Brixtol’s trademark long waxed cotton bomber makes a welcome return. Check out images from the A/W15 lookbook below.
