Carlsberg is getting involved in Movember by launching their Beer’d Beauty Kit, with proceeds going directly to the men’s health foundation.
The Beer’d Beauty Kit consists of a shaving gel, aftershave lotion and moustache cream to help Movember participants keep their fundraising face fuzz in tip-top condition. The shaving products are an extension of the existing Carlsberg beauty line.
Extension of their beauty line? Yes, you read that correctly: Carlsberg moved into the men’s cosmetics game earlier this year, with a shampoo, conditioner and body lotion. And the best part is, all their 100ml products are infused with 200ml of freeze-dried beer.
Zoran Gojkovic, Director of Research at Carlsberg Laboratories, says “Our premium hops are what give the beer its unique taste. They impart the bitterness and aromatic flavours. But hops also contain lots of antioxidants, oils and antibacterial acids. You could actually say that our hops are the perfect compounds for shaving products”
