Fashion News Round-Up: Contactless Collections, Coca-Cola Collabs & Socks by RiRi

It’s Friday, which means it’s time for this this week’s Fashion News Round-Up! Over the last seven days, we’ve checked out Topshop’s smart new accessories range, got our festive sock game down and fallen a little bit in love with Moschino’s newest ad star.

Topshop bPay Collection

Topshop x bPay

Topshop has teamed up with bPay by Barclaycard on a nifty accessories collection that brings fashion and function together. Wristbands, stickers, keychains and smart phone cases can be linked to a debit or credit card, allowing users to use contactless payment easily and securely (without the need for your wallet). After fitting a bPay chip into the accessory, it only takes a few minutes to download a dedicated app on your phone and hook up your MasterCard or Visa. With the bright colours and super-cute designs of each style, it’ll be hard to resist using them wherever you go – luckily, there’s a £30 cap on payments, so your bank balance should stay happy.

Rihanna Stance Sock Collection

Rihanna x Stance

In the past, you’d probably be on the end of a fake ‘present smile‘ if you dared to gift someone a pair of socks at Christmas, but thanks to the joint efforts of soft accessories specialists Stance and pop superstar Rihanna, you might be in luck this year. The new Fenty for Stance by Rihanna range is full of luxe sock styles with a touch of RiRi attitude (just check those names: ‘Pimp Clause’ and ‘Bitch What’ being some of our faves). Highlights include a sheer pair with jingle bell trim and a cosy knitted style with a roaring festive fire print.

Moschino Barbie Advert Boy

Moschino Barbie Ad

Last month we dropped the news about Moschino’s new Barbie-inspired collection – and now, the fashion house has dropped a 30-second video to showcase the toy’s designer styles, starring a group of adorable pint-sized fashionistas dressing up Moschino Barbie’s various manifestations. So far, so fun – but what we really liked about the ad is the fact that a boy was featured playing alongside the girls, marking a first for the Barbie brand while smashing tired old stereotypes about gendered toys. Nice one, Jeremy Scott.

Coca-Cola by JOYRICH

In the latest installation in their ongoing Coca-Cola collab, Los Angeles-based streetwear brand JOYRICH have  released a new fashion range for A/W15. With styles available for both men and women, casual-cool garms make a statement with bold Coke branding in classic shades of red, white and blue, from ultra-cosy bombers to jersey hoodies and pleated mini dresses. We’re all over the denim pieces too, from jeans and jackets to snapbacks. Check out the lookbook video above.
