Joey Essex. Denise Lewis. Thom Evans. Barry off Eastenders. What do all these people have in common?
They’re all at boot camp trying to prove that they’ve got what it takes to be the new Milk Tray Man, of course, in the latest ad campaign from Cadbury.
The ad – which also features Made in Chelsea star Spencer Matthews and former footballer Robbie Savage – is all part of Cadbury’s nationwide search to find a new Milk Tray man, who will risk life and limb to deliver a box of Milk Tray to his lady-love. The original adverts featuring the black polo neck-wearing hero originally ran from 1968 until 2003. The iconic ad series is being revived to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the box’s creation.
Alas, it seems our team of super-celebs don’t quite pass muster at boot camp. We’re all about nurturing emerging talent here at Spindle, and seeing as Thom Evans can’t manage it then why not give it a bash yourself? Both men and women can apply to be the new face of Milk Tray, and what’s even more exciting is that you can also nominate someone for the role – head over to the New Milk Tray Man website to find out more.
