Will Dunlop Be The Brand Revival of 2016?

With 90s nostaglia currently booming, many brands are benefiting from a resurgence of interest in their classic style.

In 2015 we saw iconic headwear brand Kangol collaborate with East London streetwear label Terrible Movement, while Fila joined forces with Urban Outfitters to create a new Womenswear collection. Umbro, Diadora and Champion have also seen successful retro-inspired collaboration, and Fila will begin 2016 by unveiling vintage sportswear collection Black Line.

Now that sportswear has made its way into mainstream fashion, we ask: could Dunlop be next?

With a reputation firmly associated with professional sports, Dunlop has provided apparel for the likes of tennis stars John McEnroe, Steffi Graff and Martina Navratilova during the height of their careers. One product that’s been a stalwart for the brand has been the Dunlop Flash, arguably their most recognizable piece of footwear for anyone that grew up in the 90s.

You heard it here first, folks: Dunlop are the sportswear brand to watch for 2016.
