If you’re looking to sate your ravenous appetite for all things Christmassy (and we aren’t talking about the turkey), then you need look no further than Winterville.
Now in its second year, Winterville sees East London’s Victoria Park transformed into a Christmas extravaganza. As well as gift stalls and plenty of food and booze options, there’s plenty of quirky attractions to keep you spellbound. New to Winterville is the circus – not just any old circus either, but a winning combination of the world renowned Moscow State Circus and the African Whirlwind Acrobats, who are sure to put on a death defying show. If that’s not to your liking then there’s the Winter Night Garden, the mystical passageway that leads revellers to a secluded Backyard Cinema where you can watch your favourite Christmas movies, including Die Hard and Miracle on 54th Street.
If you’re looking for a bit more of a raucous evening then the Spiegeltent is the place to be. With events ranging from Shit Faced Shakespeare to Bugged Out, who will be spinning all the best pop and RnB every Friday with a special guest joining them each week. The kids will also have plenty to do, with a whole host of different fairground rides for them to enjoy and of course the elusive Mr. Claus will be making an appearance where he will be granting wishes from his Grotto. Winterville is certainly the place to be this Christmas.
