As well as impeccable green credentials, the music’s not half bad either: this year’s line-up includes BBC Sound Of 2016 and Brit Awards winner Jack Garratt, supergroup The Last Shadow Puppets, CHVRCHES, Jamie XX, SIA, SKEPTA, Stormzy and Massive Attack’s collaboration with Young Fathers.
Complimenting Way Out West is Stay Out West, the festival’s own after-party variation taking place at venues in and around Gothenburg city centre. Dubbed as the Most Innovative Festival at the MTV O Music Awards, Way Out West is also Sweden’s first festival to become KRAV-certified and prides itself on its ability to raise awareness of pollution and sustainability without detracting from the festival experience.
Tickets are now on sale for 2016, with weekend tickets costing around £168 as well as a number of reduced price tickets on sale every month, incrementally increasing by £10 each month. Tickets and more info are available at the Way Out West website.
