New York Fashion Week Was All About The Blonds…

Thursday 25 February 2016

New York Fashion Week: what we can we say? We had an absolute ball. As well as hosting a party for men’s and a closing party for women’s, we got to see a lot of amazing shows. Here’s our pick of the best NYFW had to offer.

The Blonds

We literally died and went to heaven in The Blonds’ show: sequins, coloured fur, corsets, platforms, weave, bomber jackets, more sequins. So freakin’ awesome. 80s glam dresses with a 90s grunge twist.

Anna Sui

Continuing with the 70s trend, we love the faux fur coats, maxi dresses. Think Little House On The Prairie crossed with Beetlejuice.

Adam’s collection consisted of utility with androgyny. Soft silks mixed with oversized coats and knitwear, and lots of layering.

Pushing the boundaries between fashion and technology was Chromat’s Becca McCharen.

Prints, metallics, bondage, platforms, feline eyes, 70s romance here we come.

Marc Jacobs

Jacobs is never one to disappoint. Obviously we have to discuss Gaga being in the show – the shock within the audience, is it her? 1920s pinned back hair, oversized fur, pussy-bow collars and layering with excellent tailored jackets. Our favourites were the 1970s style shoes!
