Secret Emporium is back – with a new winter edition Christmas market.

The winter market, Smokey Tails, will show off the best of independent British designers that will be flaunting ranges from women’s clothing, illustration and art. Showcasing 50 designers, the December event will consist of fabulous clothes, food and art all bundled together in a Victorian warehouse in Shoreditch.

This follows from their award winning summer pop-up tour and recent Night Tales events. At each of these markets, two scholarships are awarded to upcoming designers who are trying to establish their labels. Earlier this year, Strange-loop, a Hackney based jewellery designer, was awarded the first scholar. The luck doesn’t stop there as illustrating duo K&J also managed to bag themselves a scholarship and plan to share their first accessory collection that was created at their own vinyl print workshop.

These are but a few designers to keep a watchful eye on as others include Jewellery Designer of the Year finalist Jessica de Lotzs Rosita Bonita & E. A Burns who will both be showcasing their brand new collections. Secret Emporium will be continuing with tradition by hosting their Grand Christmas tree raffle that involves handmade christmas decorations made by the designers potentially being won by a raffle ticket owner.

All visitors will be made to feel fashionably festive with helpings of mulled wine and cocktails to wash down the likes of gourmet burgers and lamb wraps.

Sound like your kind of event? Pop along at any (if not all) of these various dates to see the fun unfolding first hand on Friday the 13th of December 6-9pm and Saturday or Sunday between 10-10pm. It’d be rude not to.
