Female Vocals: Eliza Shaddad

Tonight, Eliza Shaddad plays Brighton’s Green Door Store – and tomorrow, a sold-out Sebright Arms!

Having recently released her second EP, Run, Shaddad sets off on April 1st to tour the new material – first, in the UK, and from there, a few stops in Europe.

Scottish-Sudanese Shaddad describes lead EP track Wars (above) as “about fighting to hold something in, with eerily controlled vocals gliding over a bed of increasingly rolling turmoil.” Check it out.

And if you can’t make any of the Run Tour dates, then do come along to Eliza’s Girls Girls Girls event on April 28th at Union Chapel Bar, for a night of female-led music, poetry, film, art and DJ-ing! Tickets here.

  • Zoë presents a ‘new music with female vocals’ show for Hoxton Radio every Sunday, 4-6pm. Every Wednesday, she introduces one of her favourite female vocalists to Spindle.
