Jake Bugg releases video for new single ‘Bitter Salt’

To coincide with the release of his new album On My One, Jake Bugg has unveiled a music video for new single ‘Bitter Salt’, which follows the journey of a woman under the influence of drugs as she travels through the breathtaking Tokyo cityscape.

Directed by Michael Holyk, Bugg has also collaborated with Holyk on every single video made from the album so far, including ‘Gimme The Love’ and ‘Love, Hope and Misery.’ With dazzling city light visuals mimicking the woman’s trippy psychedelic experience, Holyk has said: “I wanted to create a video that reflected coming up on ‘that’ drug. It builds until it’s the most intense. Seeing Jake in the video was a trigger for our story. Jake in this represents a dark thought or event that you blocked out but it seeps back in due to your brain going wild. Drugs amplify any internal battle you are having and if you can’t control it sober you won’t with anything else.”
