Babeheaven Premiere Brand New Track ‘Ode to Dom’

West London band Babeheaven have just dropped ‘Ode to Dom,’ a flipside to their latest single ‘Moving On,’ for which a music video was also recently released. According to the band, the video explores “the different types of men in [lead singer] Nancy’s life; from the controlling and omnipresent to the controlled and leashed, or the wild independent hero.” The band say that ‘Moving On’ is about feeling like “just when you’ve got a grasp on everything, life comes back and smacks you in the face.”

‘Moving On’ is another dreamy, swirling song from the band, and both songs have a clear trip-hop influence. ‘Ode to Dom’ has a swaggering beat, with more of a pure electro sound, rather than the jangling, whispy guitars of previously released songs ‘Friday Sky’ and ‘Heaven’. However, that original charm is certainly not lost, with Nancy’s beautiful, floaty vocals and lyrics that continue to explore love, and that feeling of not being able to get someone off your mind.

Babeheaven have also just announced their first headline UK tour that includes two dates in London: Bush Hall on 11th October and Mirrors Festival on 29th October. ‘Moving On’ and ‘Ode to Dom’ are available now and will be released on limited edition 7” by Handsome Dad and on CD by B3SCI Friday 7th October.
