The Last Shadow Puppets have just released a video covering Leonard Cohen’s ‘Is This What You Wanted’ to accompany the announcement of their new EP ‘The Dream Synopsis.’

The EP will be released on 2nd December, marking the band’s second release this year. April gave us ‘Everything You’ve Come to Expect,’ Alex Turner and Miles Kane’s second album together as The Last Shadow Puppets. Turner has hinted in the past that the band plans to release one or two more albums in the future.

Reworked versions of ‘Aviation’ and ‘The Dream Synopsis’ will bookend the EP, which – in addition to the Cohen cover – will feature three more covers that the band has performed on their 2016 tour. These will be ‘Le Cactus’ by Jacques Dutronc, ‘Totally Wired’ by The Fall and ‘This Is Your Life’ by Glaxo Babies.

In their trademark retro style, the video sees the band performing in a glossy red set with dramatic lighting, with vocalist Turner moving between this backdrop, a wall covered in the shadows of their string musicians and finally in front of dreamy blue skies and pink clouds where he is silhouetted.

‘The Dream Synopsis’ will be released on 2nd December by Domino Records.
