Southbank Centre Announces Line-up for Winter Gigs Season

Southbank Centre have announced the line-up for their Winter gigs season, which will continue into 2017. The line-up includes José González, Regina Spektor, Booka Shade, and The Human League. There will also be weekly free music at Friday Lunch and Friday Tonics events from artists such as Three Cane Whale, Sherika Sherard, Adam Ben Ezra, and Joseph Lofthouse, among many more.

Regina Spektor will bring her beautiful, critically acclaimed music to the Royal Festival Hall for two nights (14th and 15th November). Her seventh album ‘Remember Us to Life’ came out this year.

Pioneers of electronic music, The Human League will perform their iconic hits in the Royal Festival Hall (13th December). Booka Shade will celebrate the 10th anniversary of their pinnacle album ‘Movements’ and its reissue (22nd November). The duo are deemed to give one of the best live dance music shows around, combining stunning visuals and lighting with their fully live instrumentation.

A particularly interesting gig should be from Autechre, who will perform their electronic music in pitch dark (25th November), which is sure to be an experience like no other. José González is also set to put on a great set, playing with maverick orchestra The String Theory (24th January 2017).

Other artists playing in the Winter gigs season include Jazz Voice (11th November), St Germain (12th November), Madeleine Peyroux (20th November), Beth Hart with Colin James (23rd November), and The Outlook Orchestra (12th January 2017).
