A rundown of the best new sounds to be infiltrating our ears this week.

Kings Of Leon – ‘Reverend’

The 4th single release taken from their seventh album ‘Walls’ which is due to be released today (14th Oct), ‘Reverend’ oozes the classic Kings Of Leon sound. A great track to keep us very much excited for the album release!

Bruno Mars – ‘24K Magic’

How can you not start grooving when you listen to Bruno’s latest funk track ’24K Magic’? The Las Vegas filmed video was directed by himself and Cameron Duddy (who also worked on ‘Uptown Funk’ and ‘When I was Your Man’) and Mars’ third album is due to be released on Nov 18th.

Aston Merrygold – ‘I AIn’t Missing You’ Quake Remix

After the release of his eagerly awaited new single ‘I Ain’t Missing You’, Surrey born producer Quake takes his twist with a great dance remix. Aston has had an incredible start to his solo career so far and we look forward to many more hits to come.

Bryson Tiller – ‘Let Me Explain’

Bryson is back with another slick R&B classic. It’s been a year since the highly critically acclaimed Trap Soul album, so fresh music has been way overdue!

Rich Chigga ft Ghostface Killah & Pouya – Dat $tick Remix

Indonesian born Rich Chigga has somehow teamed up with Ghostface Killah and Pouya for a sick remix of his  successful viral track ‘Dat $tick’. He even made a brand new video which has already racked up over 1.26M views since it’s release yesterday. The visual affects are epic!

NxWorries (Anderson .Paak & Knxwledge) – ‘Get Bigger / Do U Luv’

NxWorries, aka 2016’s golden child Anderson .Paak and Knxwledge, this week dropped their new single ‘Get Bigger / Do U Luv’. It’s got the pair’s signature funky soul stamped all over it, with two halves of the track showcasing a jammier, upbeat side and a chilled, lowkey vibe to end. The pair have a forthcoming studio album release ahead, so if you dig the below keep your ears peeled for ‘Yes, Lawd!’ in the coming weeks.

Phantogram – ‘Calling All’

Phantogram last week released their album ‘Three’, which as you may have guessed, is the group’s third album offering. With a slew of singles shared online in recent weeks to drum up anticipation, their final to be unleashed was a rollicking gift. ‘Calling All’ features the lyrical refrain “we’ve all got a little bit of hoe in us” – something important for us all to remember, *insert sassy girl emoji here*.

liv – ‘Wings Of Love’

New pop superground liv consists of Spindle fave Lykke Li, Andrew Wyatt and Pontus Winnberg of Miike Snow, Bjorn Yttling of Peter Bjorn and John and producer Jeff Bhaske. What a dream. The team comes through with a last-minute ode to summer with ‘Wings of Love’, a gorgeous group vocal that harks back to the golden days of Fleetwood Mac. The video was directed by Lykke Li herself, but warning, it features some naked bottoms:

Kimbra – ‘Sweet Relief’

Kimbra is back! We haven’t heard much from the New Zealand native since 2014’s masterpiece ‘The Golden Echo’, but last week brought with it a blessing in the form of new single ‘Sweet Relief’. Not only is she back, but Kimbra is back with some serious groove and funk, yet still with her ever distinctive vocal. Check out ‘Sweet Relief’ below.

Solange – Cranes In The Sky (KAYTRANADA remix)

KAYTRANADA has been out here sharing more audio gems this week in the form of a Chance The Rapper edit and a Solange edit. The latter is our favourite; a groove-laden re-fix of ‘Cranes In The Sky’ that will have your body moving before you know it. “Honestly I was gonna wait to see if Solange or her team or whoever works for her would’ve ask [sic] me to do an official remix so if they still want to, I could make it sound better than that version but ohhhhh, what the hell….anyways I highly recommend you that new Solange album A Seat At The Table,” he says.
