Holding off from releasing music videos over the last two years, the four have launched their visual masterpiece at a good time on their timeline as a band. With a huge chorus you won’t be able to un-hear and fierce Western-esque riffs, the single was first issued back in September and previewed on their summer circuit. Now, currently on their UK tour rounds with pop-rock three-piece Dream Wife; their popularity is proving to be growing at an abnormal (yet not unexpected) speed.
Directed by talented photographer and filmmaker Nadia Lee Cohen, front-woman Izzy B Phillip’s dreams for the video were able to be recognised; the Quentin Tarantino fantasy made a tangible reality. Speaking on the story of the video itself, Izzy comments “Hello Today is a western set in Joshua Tree desert. It’s about a girl who is trying to put her demons behind her. She is followed by an omen that is symbolised by an ever present human heart. The omen drives her to delirium and in an attempt to escape her past, she drives into the desert to bury the heart before the sun sets.”
