Terry Gilliam’s adaptation of Hunter S. Thompson’s classic is dazzling for about 20 minutes, then faintly exasperating until the credits finally roll. WEDNESDAY 16th NOVEMBER
‘Canstruction’ at Brookfield Place Courtyard Gallery

This Wednesday will be the last chance to experience ‘Canstruction’, an extraordinary annual design competition and a unique food charity event which consists of several larger-than-life Pop-Art–installations that have been constructed from 120,000 cans of food. The sculptures have been put together by a team of engineers and architects after months of planning and will be later donated to City Harvest for distribution to those in need. Admission is completely free, but you can do your part by bringing the suggested donation of one canned good per person.

Rita Ackermann ‘KLINE RAPE’ at Hauser & Wirth Gallery

An exhibition of new paintings by artist Rita Ackermann will be showing at the Hauser & Wirth Gallery this week. The exhibition will consist of two bodies of work by the artist: Stretcher Bar Paintings and the KLINE RAPE series which will also include a performance inspired by Ackermann’s paintings.
