Words Spindle

Ready to be captivated by the soulful voice and powerful songs of FIL BO RIVA? The half Italian singer-songwriter blends folk and soul to create rugged, emotionally charged music. Despite often leaning toward the melancholic, his sound has a sense of urgency, with commanding vocals and gorgeous guitar lines.

Fil is self-taught musician, finding initial inspiration from 1960s Italian music, the Beatles and the Rolling Stones. Upon his move to Berlin, he spent his time busking, which was a formative experience for him as he tested out his music. He went straight from the streets to the studio, where he recorded his debut EP ‘If You’re Right, That’s Alright.’ Fil is currently working on his first album, is supporting Joan As Police Woman across Europe until 7th December, and January will see him embark on his own EP tour.

Bringing to mind the likes of Hozier and Matt Corby, we can certainly expect similarly great things from Fil. Get ready to be blown away by the raw beauty of FIL BO RIVA’s powerful music.
