Celebrate and meditate on David Bowie’s 70th with Shavasana Disco

  • Words: Spindle

On what would have been David Bowie’s 70th birthday, Shavasana Disco will celebrate the late legend with a special group meditation and a full album playback of Diamond Dogs and The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and Spiders from Mars. Taking place at London’s iconic Olympic Studios, famed for its prominence in the 1960’s ‘golden era’ of music and being a recording hotspot for artists such as The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, The Who, The Eagles, Pulp and The Beatles, Shavasana Disco is offering the chance to revisit some of Bowie’s most reowned discography; Diamond Dogs being recorded at Olympic Studios itself.

This will be the first edition of Shavasana Disco, a new auditory experience and unique approach to wellbeing of guided meditation and album listening parties in the studios they were originally recorded in, hosted by Will Williams Meditation. Taking place on Bowie’s birthday (Sunday 8th January), guests are able to win entry to the event with a limited ticket ballot entry.
