Field Day announce Flying Lotus, Nicolas Jaar, and more for 2017 lineup

Field Day has just announced a range of exciting new artists for their 2017 line-up. Now in its 11th year taking home in London’s Victoria Park, the festival has consistently showcased innovative acts, both upcoming and iconic, and this year’s line-up does not disappoint.

Among the newly confirmed artists is experimental producer, electronic musician, and rapper Flying Lotus, the hip-hop duo Death Grips, shoegaze veterans Slowdive, world music pioneer King Sunny Ade, and rising electronic prodigy Mura Masa. The festival will also see an exclusive London performance from Berlin-based Moderat, as well as Nicolas Jaar making his only live UK performance of the year.

Also announced is S U R V I V E, Nina Kraviz, Whitney, Methyl Ethel, Kevin Morby, HAELOS, King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard, Julia Jacklin, Áine Cahill, Imarhan, Flamingods, Silver Apples, Moodymann, Gaika, Forest Swords, Fatima Yamaha, Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith, and Omar Souleyman, Lena Willikens, Hunee, Jon Jobse and Midland.

This latest line-up announcement follows the earlier news that Aphex Twin will headline Field Day 2017, playing the festival’s brand new second main stage, indoor arena The Barn. The new stage will be a hanger-like construction, with a state of the art sound system and lighting rig. Aphex Twin will play an exclusive two-hour set to close the festival on the Saturday night.
