Actress and director Chloë Sevigny is the new face of J.W. Anderson’s Spring/Summer 17 campaign. Taking the place of the brand’s Fall/Winter 2016 star, Bella Hadid, Sevigny wears the latest clothing from the label, posing gracefully on a stool in the black and white photographs shot by British photographer Jamie Hawkesworth. The shoot was styled by Benjamin Bruno, and the clothes on display include an origami-like white dress, and long black one, both paired with leather bags. The campaign also features abstract images of colourful sweaters juxtaposed alongside the shots of Sevigny.
At nineteen Sevigny was proclaimed “the coolest girl in the world” by The New Yorker, and has acted in mainly independent and art-house cinema. She recently made her directorial debut with short film ‘Kitty,’ which closed this year’s Cannes Film Festival. Throughout her career she has been considered a fashion icon and has previously modelled for the likes of Miu Miu, Louis Vuitton, and Chloé.
