The Carnabys at Ben Sherman AW17

  • Photography: Jack Mercer and Milly Grange-Bennett

Ben Sherman‘s ‘Spirit of Mod’ Autumn/Winter collection was a pairing of one-off stylish runway pieces with strong looks from the mainline collection. With projections and vinyls used throughout the show and a custom-made soundtrack that included The Jam’s track ‘The Eton Rifles’, Ben Sherman retained that mod ambience throughout.

We spoke to The Carnaby‘s frontman Jack Mercer, asked him to offer a couple of his phone snaps from the show and share with us  his thoughts on the new collection. Check them out below…

“Always loved a roll neck under a thick shirt. It’s cosy and warm but you retain that sharpness for traipsing around London.”

“Clear classic uniform with these classic Parkas. The shades top it off too.”

“Channelling an inner Jimmy – Quadrophenia by protecting the suit under the Parka. Big fan of the Grenson style hand stitched boots too.”
