Sasha Lane models in Louis Vuitton’s SS17 campaign

Tuesday 03 January 2017

After the success of last year’s indie hit ‘American Honey’ and its critically acclaimed performance from breakout star Sasha Lane, it’s not surprising to see the actress cast in another exciting creative projects, Louis Vuitton’s Spring/Summer 17 campaign. The ‘Series 6’ shoot took place on the banks of the river Seine, with Nicolas Ghesquière, the fashion house’s artistic director of women’s collections, taking inspiration from the City of Light, Paris. Shot by legendary fashion photographer Bruce Weber, the images also feature fellow actresses Michelle Williams, Adèle Exarchopoulos, and Jennifer Connolly, as well as models Jean Campbell, Natalie Westling, and Rianne van Rompaey.

In addition to the photographs, the brand have released a short film, ‘Louis Vuitton Series 6’ that collages the images with shots of the Paris’ iconic landmarks and clips of the models roaming around the city. The campaign marks Lane’s first foray into fashion, but her relationship with the brand began during last year’s film awards season, when she wore Louis Vuitton after they were keen to dress the rising star. This year she is set to star in three feature films, including ‘The Miseducation of Cameron Post,’ and perhaps we will also get to see more of her in the fashion world.
