Travis Scott x Helmut Lang release trippy video to accompany lookbook

  • Words: Spindle

Yesterday hip-hop artist Travis Scott and Austrian brand Helmut Lang unveiled their clothing collaboration, which was full of streetwear staples and reportedly inspired by the rapper’s Texan roots. The capsule collection featured t-shirts, vests, jackets, jeans, trousers, loungewear, leather pieces, and footwear. There were bold graphics that alluded to Scott’s albums ‘Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight’ and ‘Rodeo,’ and even images of the rapper himself. The Helmut Lang logo was also emblazoned across many pieces, as were rose graphics. The lookbook, which was shot by Sharna Osbourne and styled by Tom Guiness, has a collage-like style.

Today, they dropped a campaign video for the collaboration: a mix of behind the scenes footage from the lookbook shoot alongside more artistic dance interpretations. The lo-fi video features trippy colours and a pulsing dance soundtrack. Osbourne also created the video, and has previously worked with brands such as Martine Rose, Meadham Kirchhoff, and Fashion East.
