Evening wear was the focus of Emilio de la Morena’s AW17 collection, as showcased at London Fashion Week this morning. The line was elegant and sophisticated, but not without fun touches such as interesting shapes and silhouettes. Simple black tops were paired with sheer black skirts with a pop of brightly coloured, feathered miniskirts that were worn underneath, while other looks saw block coloured tops and skirts cut in interesting shapes, including asymmetrical one shoulder tops, halter straps, and high ruffled necks.

Dresses were also seen in a variety of lace styles, including striped monochrome lace, sheer lace, pink underlays, and lace tops and sleeves under a black bandeau dress. There were numerous innovative shapes seen across the collection, including a large bow across the bandeau dress and curved structures forming other pieces. In addition to the dresses, smart outerwear and tailoring was seen, including striped suits in purple and grey, a grey fur gilet, and a cream fur coat paired with striped trousers.
