Words Spindle

All the tracks that we’ve had on repeat for the past 7 days.

Sonny – ‘Wage A War’ Live Session Video

Since releasing his debut EP ‘Hopeless Romance’, Sonny has seen much love and support. He continues to win crowds over with his effortless charming performances as he embarks on heading to festivals including The Great Escape and Dot To Dot. Definitely worth stopping by and see him live if your about!

SZA Ft Travis Scott – ‘Love Galore’

TDE’s SZA continues to tease us with incredible new material this year, first with ‘Drew Barrymore’ and now ‘Love Galore’ which features Travis Scott. The beautifully shot video directed by Nabil shows them both real close but ends quite sinister. ‘Love Galore’ is said to be taken from her highly anticipated album ‘CTRL’.

Russ – ‘Cherry Hills’

After finishing a successful world tour, which included a VERY impressive sold out London show. Russ teases us with new music ahead of his upcoming debut album. An all round DIY musician who produces, records and releases his own music, it’s inspiring to see what he’s achieved in the past couple months. ‘There’s Really A Wolf’ is set for release on Friday (05.05).

Healyum – ‘Lies’

Healyum return with their new shimmering single ‘Lies’. Taking influences from the likes of London Grammar and Lorde, the Bedford unsigned band take subtle pop hooks over sparse and dreamy electronic production. Led by 16-year-old singer-songwriter Jeaná Healy, the unsigned band shows promising potential.

James Hersey – ‘Everyone’s Talking’ Official Video

The Berlin based musician offers us another stylistically and cleverly shot video for recently released track ‘Everyone’s Talking’. The video is heavily inspired by the way we communicate, the use of social media and how it affects relationships. This theme relates back to his highly-anticipated debut EP ‘Pages’ which is set for release on Friday (05.05).

Harry Jay-Steele – ‘Reach You’ LV remix

With the original version being a mixture of afrobeat, soul and even jazz, this remix of Harry Jay-Steele’s debut single ‘Reach You’ from south London outfit LV takes the original version and transforms it in to a sound a million miles from anything, as delicate electronics intertwine with crashing drums, luscious orchestral backing and Harry’s looped vocal harmonies to create a track that is both hypnotising and sonically adventurous.

Friends In Paris – When Your Heart Is A Stranger

The brand new track from this UK/Belgium duo – signed to Ministry of Sound – and the first to be taken from upcoming summer EP ‘Heart,’ ‘When Your Heart Is A Stranger’ is a soulful, electronic and haunting masterpiece, complete with a delicate piano motif and infectious melody. The duo – made up of Kris Buckle and Jereon De Pessemier – have previously worked with the likes of La Roux, Chemical Brothers, Alt J and dEUS, and ‘When Your Heart Is A Stranger’ looks set to cement this genre-hopping duo as ones to watch in 2017.

Katy Perry Ft Migos – ‘Bon Appétit’

After the release of her single ‘Chain To The Rhythm’, Katy cooks up a scrumptious new track with rising Atlanta trio Migos, a collaboration you’d genuinely not see coming but somehow works so well. This looks like to be the lead to an anticipated fifth studio album, the last being ‘Prism’ in 2013.

Migos – ‘Get Right Witcha’ Official Video

The Atlanta trio has had an exceptional year so far, which included two crazy sold out shows in London last week. Continuing their strand of high-quality visuals, they bring out a video for ‘Get Right Witcha’ taken from their critically acclaimed album ‘C U L T U R E’.
