Spindle attended this year’s Men’s (Capsule) show at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in NYC. As their website puts it,”(Capsule) is the fashion and lifestyle trade event that fuses the best high-end, progressive brands and directional, independent designers.” Launched in 2007, the trade show is held ten times a year in three different cities. It is a must for anyone looking to discover upcoming designers or forge significant business connections within the industry.
To start off the day, DDUGOFF presented their SS18 collection. The models stood on white platforms, keeping the set as minimal as possible in order to emphasize the clothing. For this collection, DDUGOFF chose to utilize light-weight fabrics and an earthy color palette; perfect for the Spring season. Check out some images from the presentation below…
The High Snobiety presentation featured four fresh designers; Openism, Sundae School, Preston Douglas, and Secluded. Openism and Secluded took the sportier approach whilst Preston Douglas went for a more loose-fitting, formal look accessorized with French beret’s and cat eye sunglasses. Sundae School chose to keep it simple with their tailored two piece suits and jumpsuit; ideal for a day-to-night look.
Last but not least, Brazilian brand Osklen’s models looked beach-ready wearing the brand’s SS18 collection. The accessories, including skateboards, bags, sneakers, and surfboards, were all made out of Amazonian Pirarucu fish skin.
