Spindle had the pleasure of catching up with NYC-based musician VÉRITÉ, who just debuted her highly anticipated first album ‘Somewhere in Between’. VÉRITÉ spent the day with us at our Brooklyn studio where we got to discuss her journey and the advantages/disadvantages that come along with being an independent artist within the music industry. She also spoke to us about what it’s been like to work with director/cinematographer Charlie Manton for her music videos (Mr. Manton directed VÉRITÉ’s latest video for her song‘When You’re Gone’). VÉRITÉ will be kicking off her North American tour on August 23rd, something you definitely won’t want to miss out on. The full interview and shoot will be in Spindle’s upcoming print issue, which will be available in the Fall…stay tuned.
“I’ve been fortunate enough to release the music I want to when I want to, without being told no.”
“For me, being on tour is when I can calm down; no stress, no anxiety. I’m my most efficient self when I’m on tour.”
