Indulging the popular sounds coming out of London, Freya grew up on a diet of pop, R&B and 90’s garage music, it were these memories and the people she surrounded that inspired her to delve in to the city’s music scene and begin co-writing with a group signed to one of the leading dance music independents.
Now stepping forward and releasing her own music, We premiere Freya’s debut single ‘Blame’, which is all about turmoil that can be caused in a confided relationship. On the influence of the song, Freya comments “’Blame’ is about taking responsibility for the people we attract into our lives. The opening lyric “Everything I hate about you I am” summarises the sentiment of the song.”
Freya has taken her widespread influences to heart and styled a new sound. With a relaxed hip-hop beat guiding Freya’s delicate yet poignant vocal lead, the track unravels with a miraculous chorus with a backdrop of celestial synth-bass swells. We’re hooked on to Freya’s touching songwriting and expect exciting happenings for the singer songwriter.
