We premiere the video for the remix of UK based group Shanty’s single, ‘Happy To Be Sad’ that’s taken from the bands recently released EP ‘Strange Little Human’. The EP follows the success of their debut EP, ‘Leave Me Out’. Budapest based producer WATA has taken the track to new heights by fusing his signature synth-bass hooks on a palette of drum & bass and garage styles merged on the band’s modernistic reggae style.
As well as touring and sharing the stage with the likes of Sticky Fingers, Kevin Parker & Mark Ronson, Bastille, and Madness, the band are bringing their monumental live show to Green Meadows Festival and Boomtown Fair this year.
After gaining radio play and the respect of Gary Crowley’s BBC Introducing show and being championed by prestigious tastemaker David Rodigan on BBC Radio 1Xtra, where he described them as “a very talented young band of players.” and upcoming performances at Green Meadows and Boomtown Festival, it’s no wonder the band of brothers are stirring up the scene.
