After the success of their songs ‘Light It Up’ and ‘It Gets Cold’ becoming festival-friendly anthems with all the right chant-a-long choruses and uplifting lyrics, Eliza and the Bear are back with a new, just-as-bouncy track.
Named, ‘Higher’, their festival vibe has been tweaked with the addition of a jittery dance sound and parping horns. The producer of the track, Hight has worked with the likes of Rita Ora and The Tide, and has helped Eliza and The Bear’s succeed in their reinvention as a pure pop phenomenon.
Originally named after a book of poetry and once talked about in sentences containing the words Flaming Lips and Arcade Fire and Mumford & Sons, Eliza and The Bear are five London-based mates who have slipped seamlessly from indie-folk-rock heroes to something altogether fresher.
With over 350k plays on Spotify – being featured on curated playlists like New Music Friday and Summer Indie and programs like Celebrity Big Brother, the song will be the soundtrack to your next all-night dance session.
