Acclaimed London five-piece Curse of Lono are back with another harmony-laden Americana track, ‘Just My Head’ – and they’re premiering the video right here on Spindle.
Founded by frontman Felix Bechtolsheimer, Curse of Lono hit the scene in early 2015, bringing out their debut album Severed in April this year. The album brings to light songs that are as many as fourteen years in the making, and which range from jazzy to rootsy to rhythmic. The band’s sound marries Americana tradition with a playful, modern edge, and ‘Just My Head’ keeps the standard high.
Rhythmic and pensive, the song is the perfect soundtrack to your afternoon reverie, and the video maintains this dreamlike state. It was filmed and directed by London-based cinematographer, Daisy Dickinson, at Arthur Kill Ship Graveyard in Staten Island and on a World War II lighthouse boat in Greenwich – atmospheric settings for an atmospheric song.
Watch the video, premiering exclusively on Spindle, below – and don’t forget to check out Curse of Lono as they embark on their tour, beginning on 1st December.
