London five-piece Curse of Lono are a confounding group. Despite hailing from London, their music blends harmony-rich Americana with Southern-gothic style alt-rock, producing a powerful driving sound that has won them numerous live gigs and hordes of fans. Founded in 2015 by frontman Felix Bechtolsheimer, the lineup is completed by Joe Hazell, Charis Anderson, Dani Ruiz Hernandez, and Neil Findlay. Their songs run the gamut lyrically from sexual jealousy to heartache to life itself, and now they’re taking them on tour around Europe.
We sat down with the band last year in London to discuss their journey so far, what music gets them up in the morning, and their best experiences playing live – watch the video, exclusively for Spindle, below.
