Our Top Tracks From This Week!

Wafia I’m Good

Wafia is a 24-year-old singer and musician who’s music ranges from expressive electronic pop that traverses the emotional spectrum- from heartache to new sensations, fractured familial experiences to societal and political alienation. The bold new artist made waves earlier this year as she lent her angelic vocals to Louis the Child’s smash hit summer jam ‘Better Not‘, which has accumulated over 50 millions of streams on Spotify alone! New song ‘I’m Good’ is an infectious indie-pop-infused gem. Her lyrics are unapologetic, brutally honest, and shows she has no regrets leaving someone in the past. We feel you girl!

One Bit x Louisa – Between You & Me

Following the almighty Noah Cyrus collab ‘My Way’, UK duo One Bit are back, this time roping in Spindle fave Louisa Johnson on vocal duties for new bop ‘Between You and Me’. The single is a blend of warm tropical synths and vibrant calypso beats, building to a soaring chorus that flaunts Louisa’s vocal prowess.

Call Me Karizma – Life of the Party

Call Me Karizma is far from your run-of-the-mill singer and rapper, championing a sober lifestyle, promoting self-love and making it his mission to destroy the taboo of mental health. ‘Life of the Party’ is a conflictingly melancholic track, penned “for the kids who feel alone. To let them know it is okay to stay inside and be by yourself. This is a sad anthem for the delinquents”.

Slaves – Chokehold

‘Chokehold’ is Slaves’ rendition of rambunctious pop with a razor-sharp edge. The cut is taken from the duo’s third studio album ‘Acts of Fear and Love’ coming August 17th, and is complete with star studded visuals, with cameos from Royal Blood’s Ben Thatcher, Joel Amey from Wolf Alice, Peace’s Dom Boyce, The Maccabees’ Sam Doyle, Amber Grimbergen from HINDS and even Blur legend Dave Rowntree.

ST.MARTiiNS – Ur So Pretty

ST.MARTiiNS’ self-described brand of “blasé realism” is in full swing with the ethereal ‘Ur So Pretty’.  The track builds from a languid haze of lo-fi synths and jazz inflected beats to a cascade of sun drenched riffs, all completely outshined by Katie Lynch’s honeyed vocals.

Maike Paradise

German-born singer-songwriter Maike’s storytelling lyrics, combined with sophisticated and indelible melodies became her motif, and has been well received by her ever expanding fanbase. Released last week, her latest track ‘Paradise’ takes us on an introspective journey through a personal yet relatable love story that leads into mystery. Choosing to not be bound by genre, Maike draws from a handful of deep electronic influences to set a finely crafted mood, whisking you away into a new world that she paints with her honeyed voice.

Tyler, The Creator Ft Kali Uchis – See You Again

Everything about this extravagant navy themed video is visually pleasing and stunningly shot. ‘See You Again’ is taken from Tyler’s latest album ‘Flower Boy’, the video also has A$AP Rocky doing a little cameo along with a short but sweet visual piece that goes with Tyler’s track ‘Where This Flower Blooms’.

Ella Mai – Trip

UK songstress Ella Mai is back with another absolute R&B jam on new single ‘Trip’. A classic lovestruck scenario, Mai is cautious about a new love interest and trying to control her feelings around him. Bringing back old school R&B vibes, we’re looking forward to hearing more from the rising star.

Troye Sivan – Animal

Troye’s new single ‘Animal’ is the latest taster of whats to come from his forthcoming album ‘Bloom’, that’s set to be released at the end of the month. The beautiful track was teased out by Sivan on his socials with a candid short video that included boyfriend Jacob Bixenman. CUTE!
