Fekky – One More Time (feat. Runtown)
South Londoner Fekky has returned with ‘One More Time’, a melodic summer scorcher featuring Nigerian singer-songwriter Runtown. The release is Fekky’s first on his own label, F Music, a blazing assertion of his independence that marks him as a force to be reckoned with.
James Hersey – Real For You
The multitalented James Hersey returns with ‘Real For You’, accompanied by an intimate live performance filmed at Baketown Collective in Berlin. On the track, Hersey explains “Real For You is about accepting without judgement, and opening up without fear. It’s my anthem for a conscious life, by committing to what you admire and believe in”.
Method Man – Grand Prix
With new album ‘The Meth Lab II: The Lithium’ set to drop this Autumn, Method Man pairs the release of slick production ‘Grand Prix’ with superbly produced, backlit visuals that all the more reminds us he hasn’t lost his touch.
Chris Simmons – Saturn Returns
Even without the direct support of heavy hitters like Chris Difford of Squeeze and the legendary Jackson Browne, Chris Simmons will stop you in your tracks. ‘Saturn Returns’ shows Simmons now with true momentum behind him, an unflinching illustration of the human dynamic of hardship.
LIZ – Pandemonium
Fast becoming pop’s newest come-as-you-are culture icon, LIZ has returned to the limelight this year as an independent artist releasing some of her best music yet. The underground pop princess shares her latest offering ‘Pandemonium.’ A summery, vibrant slice of pop perfection, ‘Pandemonium’ follows a string of early 2018 releases from the newly independent female including double-A-side singles ‘Could U Love Me’ and ‘Queen of Me’ and most recently the glitchy hyper pop bop, ‘Super Duper Nova’.
Alex Adair – Dominos feat. Samantha Harvey
Once more adding to his accolade of smash hits and stellar remixes, British DJ and Producer Alex Adair follows up slick summer anthem ‘I Will’ with vibrant new track ‘Dominos’ featuring Samantha Harvey. Harvey contributes her lustrous vocals to Adair’s polished production in a harmonious fusion of talent. It’s immediately striking as a sparkling summer hit, with light, zestful synths building in energy towards a euphoric chorus.
iLL BLU x Krept & Konan x ZieZie x Loski – Chop My Money
iLL BLU have evolved and shown an ability to master whatever they put their hands to. The duo has achieved substantial success remixing everyone from Hot Chip to Naughty Boy and Sam Smith, as well as turning their hands to a more house-inflected production style on the likes of previous single ‘Tribalist’. New single ‘Chop My Money’ features a powerful line-up of UK hip hop’s hottest risers including Krept & Konan, Loski and ZieZie. The visual to the track is a pure 10/10 and you can watch it below!
Olympia – Star City
Following the release of her debut album ‘Self Talk’ in 2016, Olympia is back with her new single ‘Star City’. The new release represents a departure from the art-led ideas present in ‘Self Talk’ and a move towards more visceral expression. Following on from Olympia’s celebrated video for ‘Smoke Signals’, director Alex Smith (Metronomy, Coldplay, Iggy Pop) has created another world in the music video for the new single. It features Olympia dancing a routine of ‘rhythmic-domesticities’ in a boldly irreverent clip, extending the vision of the song, if not the artist’s own perspective of the world.
Nina Nesbitt – Loyal to Me
Fresh from a UK headline tour, which included a sold-out London’s Heaven, and now with over 100 million streams across streaming platforms, Nina Nesbitt had released the video to her new single ‘Loyal To Me’ today through Cooking Vinyl. Since the end of last year, Nina’s been making waves across the globe, following the release of the first multi-artist collaboration for a Spotify Single and being embraced by new fans including Hollywood royalty in the shape of Chloë Grace Moretz and Taylor Swift.
