Drake has become the artist with the most top 10 tracks in a year since The Beatles. Setting the record in 1964, the iconic Liverpool four-piece enjoyed 11 top 10 hits including, ‘A Hard Day’s Night’, ‘She Loves You’ and ‘I Want To Told Your Hand’.
Drake’s recent team up with Bad Bunny on ‘MIA’ helped set him the record and marks his 12th top 10 release in 2018. Other tracks from Drake to reach the top 10 this year include ‘God’s Plan’ and ‘Look Alive’.
2018 has been a trophy year for Drake, who at 28 weeks has become the artist to spend the most time at No 1 in a single year. In recent conversation with LeBron James, Drake spoke in recognition of the fact that a rapper’s relevance can be quick to fade.
“One of my biggest concerns in my career is just to figure out how to exit gracefully. I watch people overstay their welcome and I just don’t ever want to be that guy that’s addicted to the feeling of victory, addicted to the emotion of people digesting something that they love and get to the point where I’m feeding them something and they’re just like, ‘Yeah’.”
Yet, Drake shows no signs of retirement anytime soon. Watch ‘Sicko Mode’, his latest track with Travis Scott here:
