Multi-talented singer-songwriter, Lili Caseley produces fresh contemporary pop tracks featuring her classically soulful vocals that are akin to the likes of Amber Mark and Cosima. Seething with emotional honesty, her tracks are influenced by her Portuguese upbringing, legendary poets and some of the biggest pop names of today.
At only 22, she is yet to release her debut EP, but has already won the attention from some of the most respected names in the industry, receiving airtime from Radio 1Xtra’s Toddla T, and featuring on BBC Introducing Mixtape on 6Music. Lili is certainly a rising star, and we can’t wait to see where she’s heading!
We’re lucky enough to be premiering her latest music video for ‘Have I Ever’, which is a lazy, yet sophisticated jam.
Speaking about the video, Lili says: “We filmed late at night in Old Street when the street lights are on and the city’s nightlife comes out. We wanted to capture the lightness and darkness of the song. The excitement and wildness of being in love, and then later the exhaustion and frustration of it expressed through the erratic movements, especially towards the end,”
She adds that “the Portuguese voice at the start is a link to my Portuguese heritage and the use of the Latin harp in the song. He calls me, speaks to me, and this begins the start of the questioning journey. One of the shots filmed against the brick wall with the fence fading in and out is a representation of being able to see what you want but, not being able to get there. The trap!”
