A phenomenal singer-songwriter, Tom Speight has released a string of remarkable EPs, winning him widespread support and more than 50 million streams. Producing acoustic-driven music with twinges of folk, the London-born star is exceeding expectations, making him an exciting one to watch. And today, we are premiering the release of his latest music video for ‘Collide’.
‘Collide’ is the second track taken from Tom’s forthcoming debut album and was heavily influenced by Joni Mitchell and early Fionn Regan. Experimenting with different guitar sounds, the song tells the story of two people coming together and features dual vocals, from Lydia Clowes, which accentuates the feel-good nature of the track and adds an extra dimension.
Discussing the song and video, Tom says: “I was very lucky to work with Ste McGregor on the animation for ‘Collide’, I first came across Ste’s work when I saw the Noel Gallagher video for ‘Dead In The Water’, as soon as I saw the video I knew I wanted him to do something for ‘Collide’. I trust his creative vision for the song.”
