Feminism, independence and loss are all subjects Seinabo Sey does not shy away from. Demonstrating idiosyncratic talent, along with pure bravery, Seinabo first emerged onto the scene with her debut Pretend– an empowering yet intimate album indicating her sheer ability.
Being a woman of colour in Sweden, the Swedish-Gambian singer-songwriter has often felt apart from society. Now, fresh from her hiatus in West Africa, Seinabo is back with her eagerly anticipated album I’m A Dream, which powerfully explores personal anecdotes of grief, otherness and her quest to find her place within society.
Today, Seinabo releases the video for ‘Good In You’, a track from I’m A Dream, and we are lucky enough to get the first look! The track features a thumping bass and soaring chorus, and we can’t get enough. This video follows from the vertical lyric video released earlier this year, which was a personal montage featuring friends and family. The latest visuals match Seinabo’s soulful, yet playful vibe, and the mid-tempo and uplifting nature of the track. Similarly to Seinabo’s previous videos, this one is on point!
